Introducing Niall de Burca!!

Taken by Ms. Hamaguchi
This week, our class witnessed one of the most memorable performances they will ever see in their life! We witnessed Niall de Burca in action. In fact, his actions kept us thoroughly entertained for about an hour. From the moment he stepped on stage, he had our attention, getting us involved by clapping rhythms and saying silly words like "Bazooka!!!" and "We've got the power!!" This continued right until the last moment of his time on stage at ISM.

Perhaps I should tell you a little more about Niall. He is from Ireland. He is married and has children.

Niall has a unique way of sharing a very serious story that captivates a young audience. He injects humour and ideas that we experience in our everyday life even if the story he is telling is quite an old tale. That was the case with his first story on Wednesday. It was a folk tale that basically explained how the world was formed and how each country that was created is special. Although it was an old story, he brought it up to date by saying that Korea's gift (which made it special) was the panda from the kids' movie. He said Germany was special because the god gave it fancy cars like Mercedes and BMW. Of course, those cars and the panda character where not around when those countries came into existence.
